Another Drunk Driver Charged - MEANEY

On Sunday, November 15, 2020 at approximately 12:25 a.m. a southbound pickup truck entered into a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint that was set up on Bluewater Highway just north of Grand Bend. Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer had reason to believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was displaying signs of impairment.
The driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment in Clinton for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests registered above the legal limit.
Michael MEANEY, 65 years of age from Kitchener has been charged with Operation While Impaired & Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 4, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
