A Guelph man was arrested after an employee of a south-end business was assaulted Tuesday afternoon.
Approximately 4:20 p.m. officers were dispatched to a business near Edinburgh Road South and Stone Road West. A man who had previously caused issues at the store was on scene. Staff members were trying to remove him from the store when he pushed one of them.
A 54-year-old Guelph man was arrested for assaulted and being intoxicated in public. He will appear in court May 14.
Watches stolen from display cabinet
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after someone stole more than $2,300 worth of watches from a business.
Approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, a male entered a business on Stone Road West. He used a screwdriver to break the lock on a display cabinet and removed a number of watches.
