During the long weekend, South Bruce officers charged 3 motorists and 2 passengers for failing to wear a seatbelt. Other charges laid this past weekend include:
54 charges for Speeding
2 charges for Driving while under Suspension
1 motorist charged with Impaired Driving
1 motorist charged with Distracted Driving
123 total charges, 53 warnings issued
There were no Motor Vehicle Collisions (MVC) reported during the traffic safety initiative.
The long weekend traffic safety campaign has ended, but the South Bruce OPP remains committed to road safety and officers will continue with traffic education and enforcement.
