On Monday May 6, 2024, at approximately 1:25 a.m., uniform members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were requested to attend Bluewater Bridge, Canada Border Services Agency, regarding a possible impaired driver.
A resident of the United States made a wrong turn and mistakenly entered Canada. Upon speaking with Border Service Officers, it was suspected that the driver of the motor vehicle had consumed alcoholic beverages. A roadside screening device was administered. The driver was arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP Petrolia Detachment for breath testing which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.
Keith OZBUN, 34-year-old from Harrison Township, Michigan has been charged with the following:
Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus),
Operation While Impaired Alcohol.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia at a later date.
