Sylver ELIJAH Was Arrested

While on general patrol, an OPP officer observed the motor vehicle travelling on Lasalle Line and conducted a traffic stop. In speaking with the driver of the vehicle, the OPP officer suspected the driver of previously consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside screening device was administered. The driver was consequently placed under arrest and transported to the Lambton OPP Corunna Detachment for breath testing which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.
Sylver ELIJAH, a 19-year-old from Onieda Nation of Thames, First Nation has been charged with the following:
Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus),
Operation While Impaired Alcohol.
Drive Motor Vehicle No License
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia on July 22, 2024. The motor vehicle has been impounded for a period of 7 days and the driver has had their license suspended for a period of 90 days.
