9 Kilo Cocaine Bust

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG) and uniform members of the Ottawa OPP Detachment, with assistance from the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Tactical Unit and Drug Unit, executed three search warrants in Ottawa and Kanata on June 14, 2024.
Officers seized the following:
Approximately nine kilograms of suspected cocaine
Approximately $47,000 CAD currency
9mm loaded handgun with ammunition
One vehicle as offence-related property
As a result of the investigation, Reyan ABDULKADER, age 29 of Ottawa, has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code and CDSA:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
Possession of loaded prohibited/restricted firearm
Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there is a firearm
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa on June 24, 2024.
