2 Arrested Following ALPR Hit

At approximately 9:22 a.m. officers stopped a red Dodge Charger on Woodland Drive and spoke with the driver and shortly afterwards, entered into a criminal code drivers licence suspension investigation.
During the investigation the driver was arrested and arrangements were made to tow the vehicle to a secure vehicle impound yard. While awaiting the tow truck to arrive, another vehicle attended the scene and the driver interacted with officers resulting in a disturbance at the scene and the second driver was also arrested.
Both arrested persons were transported to Detachment for further investigation, resulting in the following.
The driver, Danielle Louise CAMERON 33 years of Midland has been charged with
Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada
Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
Possess more than one licence (six counts) contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to notify change of address contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
The second vehicle driver April CAMERON 53 years of Midland has been charged with
Obstruct Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
Fail to surrender insurance card contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
Driver fail to surrender licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Interfere with traffic contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Driver fail to properly wear seat belt contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Drive hand held communication device contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to identify self contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Both accused persons were released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date. The red Dodge Charger was towed and impounded for 45 days in accordance to the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.
