(PRESCOTT, ON) – A North Dundas resident, wanted for an assault, is facing multiple charges and a stolen motorcycle has been recovered.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit located a wanted individual in Prescott on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, riding a motorcycle.



The male was arrested for the outstanding warrant and officers then determined that the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Ottawa in June 2024.

James MOORE, age 38 of North Dundas Township, has been charged with:

Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
Possession of property obtained by crime-over $5000
Theft over $5000 of a vehicle
As a result of an earlier incident the individual is also charged with:

Assault with a weapon
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
Fail to comply with a release order
The accused was remanded in custody until a scheduled appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on August 30, 2024.
