On September 25, 2024, at approximately 12:00 p.m., OPP responded to a neighbour dispute in the Township of Cramahe. The caller advised police that since early August 2024, they are experiencing an on-going issue with their neighbour playing loud music for extended periods of time and recently with the complainants dwelling being illuminated with a strobe light.
On September 29, 2024, a 43-year-old, from the Township of Cramahe, was arrested and charged with:
Mischief obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date and the individual shall not be named to protect the identity of the victim.
On September 26, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., police received a report regarding theft of alcohol on the previous day, from a commercial premises in Fenella, within the Township of Alnwick-Haldimand. As a result of the investigation, a person was arrested on September 29, 2024.
Ashley FENTON, 31-years-old, from Campbellcroft, has been charged with:
Theft under $5,000 shoplifting.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
On September 28, 2024, shortly before 6:00 p.m., OPP received a report regarding an individual fishing on private property in the vicinity of Dale Road, in the Municipality of Port Hope. Police attended the area and located the subject of the complaint.
A 38-year-old male, from Toronto, has been charged with:
Trespass for the purpose of fishing
On September 29, 2024, shortly before 1:30 a.m., officers received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle parked on the hard shoulder on Highway 401 westbound in the Township of Alnwick-Haldimand. The caller was concerned as the door of the vehicle was open and the driver was unresponsive.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and OPP responded to the scene where police entered into an impaired operation investigation. The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further tests. While at the detachment the accused refused to comply with a demand.
Pamela FILOCHOWSKI, 29-years-old, from Brampton, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
Failure or refusal to comply with demand.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date. Their drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
On September 30, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., an officer was on patrol on Burnham Street North in the Township of Hamilton, when they received an alert from the in car Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) regarding a suspended driver.
The corresponding vehicle was stopped and driver confirmed to be prohibited.
Garry SIMPSON, 67-years-old, from Gores Landing, has been arrested and charged with:
Operation while prohibited.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date and their vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
