Nicholas CARRABS Drinking & Driving

On October 3, 2024, at approximately 8:35 p.m., the Huronia West OPP received a report of an individual, who appeared to be intoxicated, leave a local store and drive along 45th Street South and Knox Road.
Police patrolled the area and located the vehicle matching the complainants description. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was arrested. During the investigation, officers discovered four open beer cans in the vehicle, along with a baton, which was seized.
As a result, Nicholas CARRABS, a 36-year-old from Stayner, was charged with:
Operation While Prohibited
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
Windshield obstructed
Fail to produce permit
Novice driver B.A.C above zero
Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on November 11, 2024. Their drivers licence was suspended for three days, and their vehicle has been impounded for 45 days.
