On Friday October 25, 2024, at approximately 11:08 p.m., Brant County OPP responded to a reported single-vehicle collision on Highway 403 in the eastbound lanes. There were no reported injuries. One person was located, arrested, and transported to Brant County OPP detachment for testing.
Police have charged 22-year-old Brandon NEWTON-RAMROOP from the City of Mississauga with the following offences:
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
· Having care of control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
· Novice driver B.A.C. above zero
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on November 29, 2024.
On Saturday October 26, 2024, at approximately 2:51 p.m., Brant County OPP responded to reports of a single-motor-vehicle into a ditch on Brant School Road. There were no reported injuries. One person was arrested and transported to Norfolk County detachment for testing.
Police have charged 26-year-old Ihor CHEMARENKO from the City of Cambridge with the following offences:
· Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Breach of Probation order (P.O.A.)
· Novice driver B.A.C. above zero
· Careless Driving
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on November 7, 2024.
On Sunday October 27, 2024, at approximately 12:58 a.m., Brant County OPP conducted a proactive traffic stop on Burtch Road after observing concerning driving behaviour. One individual was subsequently arrested and transported to Brant County OPP detachment for testing.
Police have charged 25-year-old Bronson HORVATH from the County of Brant with the following offences:
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
· Careless driving
· Driving motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on November 7, 2024.

BRANT RESIDENT LOSES $500 IN FACEBOOK FRAUD
(BRANT COUNTY, ON) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment are investigating a fraud after a Brant County resident reported being defrauded $500 during a Facebook Marketplace transaction.
On Friday, October 25, 2024, Brant County OPP responded to a report of a fraud involving an online transaction. A Brant resident sent an e-transfer to purchase a vehicle that was seen in an online ad. The buyer was sent to pick up the vehicle at an unrelated address where it was discovered the sale was not legitimate. The investigation is ongoing.
