Sterling CHARD Was Arrested Again

At approximately 7:47 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2024, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment were on patrol they noticed a vehicle travelling on Talbot Street South in Simcoe, Norfolk County.
After stopping the vehicle on Court Street in Simcoe, Norfolk County, officers interacted with the driver, leading to the driver being taken into custody without incident.
While searching the driver and the vehicle, officers discovered and seized a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
36-year-old Sterling CHARD of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
Obstruct Peace Officer,
Fail to surrender licence,
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle,
Fail to surrender insurance card,
Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit,
Failure to comply with Release Order other than to attend court (two counts),
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine,
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking heroin,
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking opioid (other than heroin).
The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
