Joshua TURTLE Arrested Again Details Released

On January 16th, 2025, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Pickle Lake OPP were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision that took place on the Highway 599, south of Mishkeegogamang First Nation.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol, and an approved screening device (ASD) test was administered. The driver failed the test and was arrested and transported to the Pickle Lake Detachment where additional breath testing was completed. A search was conducted incident to arrest where officers located a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
Joshua TURTLE, 26-years-old, from Dryden, Ontario has been charged under the criminal code with:
· Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
· Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Resist Peace Officer
· Assault a Peace Officer
· Failure to comply with release order
The accused was also charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
The accused had his drivers licence suspended and the vehicle was impounded. The accused was held for a bail hearing on the 17th of January, 2025.
