Upon interacting with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. A roadside screening test was conducted, and the driver registered a failure. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing, which confirmed blood alcohol concentrations over the legal limit.
As a result, Matthew Carter, 32, of Brant County, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accuseds vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his drivers licence was immediately suspended for 90 days under the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) program.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on January 30, 2025.
