SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE ARREST AND CHARGE A MALE DRIVER FROM CAMBRIDGE WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING
(Innisfil, ON) On January 19, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., South Simcoe Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on the 6th Line in the Town of Innisfil. Police arrived on scene and observed a male walking into the ditch towards the vehicle. As part of the investigation, South Simcoe Police officers spoke with the male and determined he was the driver of the vehicle. After further investigation, two breath samples were provided, indicating he had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. As a result, a 25-year-old-male from Cambridge, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
Operation while impaired
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (over 80)
The accused was released with a future court date.
