Azamat KASSYMBEK Impaired Driving

On April 13, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers responded to a traffic tip of a possible impaired driver in Springwater Township.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle on Bayfield Street in Barrie. After speaking with the owner/driver, officers noticed an odour of alcohol on the individuals breath and conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result of the investigation, Azamat KASSYMBEK, 39-year-old of North York, was arrested and has been charged with the following:
· Operation while Impaired Alcohol and Drugs
· Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
· Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor (LLCA)
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
