On May 11, 2025, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 89 and Highway 10 in the Town of Mono. Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and initiated a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the male driver, officers noted signs of impairment and initiated an impaired driving investigation
Ravi DINDAYAL, a 51-year-old male, from Pickering has been charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
Dangerous operation
Drive Motor Vehicle Perform stunt Excessive speed
The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their drivers licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
