Hit & Run Sean KENNEDY Arrested

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, shortly before 5:00 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Picton Main Street. Three vehicles had been involved. One vehicle left the scene, but its bumper and licence plate were left behind. No injuries were reported.
Officers located the outstanding mini-van and then tracked down the individual who had been driving. The individual was arrested for failing to remain at the scene of a collision, and an approved roadside alcohol screening devise was utilized. The male was transported to the detachment for further testing.
Sean KENNEDY, age 31 of Deseronto, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Dangerous operation of a vehicle
Fail to remain at the scene of a collision
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on June 25, 2025.
The individuals drivers licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
