On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., an off-duty London police officer observed two BMWs travelling at a high rate of speed in the area of Colonel Talbot Road near Orr Drive. While stopped at an intersection directly beside one of the vehicles, the officer was able to see the driver and obtain a licence plate of one of the involved cars. The vehicles proceeded to accelerate at a high rate of speed away from the off-duty officer.
A short time later, in the area of Colonel Talbot Road and Southminster Bourne, the same officer observed between 20 30 vehicles, stopped side-by-side facing toward Colonel Talbot Road. There appeared to be approximately 50 people standing to the side of the vehicles watching as vehicles raced each other.
The two BMWs were observed travelling northbound from that location at high rates of speed beside each other.
The following day, the officer identified one of the vehicles and involved driver. He attended the suspect males residence and arrested him.

The drivers licence was suspended, his vehicle seized, and he is expected to appear in London court on October 25, 2025, in relation to the charges.
