Pamela Wetelainen Was Arrested

On October 3, 2025, at approximately 7:30 pm, members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 East near Dinorwic, in Southworth Township.

As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired operation by drug. Pamela Wetelainen, 61, of Wabigoon First Nation, has been charged with:

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The OPP reminds all motorists that driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol is a serious offence that poses significant risks to everyone on the road.
