18 Year Old Charged Following Hit & Run

(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – A driver has been charged following a collision with a hydro pole.

On October 22, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an abandoned single-vehicle collision with a hydro pole on Sixth Line in Mapleton Township.



As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old from Wallenstein, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

Fail to report accident
The accused will appear before the Provincial Offences Court at a later date.
