Lindsay AUSTRUNG-WILSON: Impaired Driving

On November 26, 2025, at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver near Bridge Street West and Grand Road in the Municipality of Trent Hills.
Police located and stopped a vehicle matching the description provided. After speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The individual was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
Lindsay AUSTRUNG-WILSON (42) from Campbellford, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in January 2026.
A further 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and 7-day vehicle impoundment were imposed as per statute.

Whether you are impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired and driving under the influence of either is a criminal offence. If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture.
