Katherine BRAZEAU Was Arrested

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Services responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in Nipissing First Nation.
Investigation revealed that a passenger vehicle was travelling westbound in the eastbound lane when it collided mirrors with another vehicle. The westbound vehicle continued leaving the roadway and striking a rock cut.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The highway was closed for approximately one hour.
As a result of the investigation, Katherine BRAZEAU, 45 years-of-age of Garden Village, has been charged with:
· Operation while impaired blood drug concentration
· Take motor vehicle without consent
· Fail to properly wear seatbelt
· Driving while under suspension two counts
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on January 6, 2026. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS).
