Marc-Denis ST. MARTIN – Drunk Driving

On Monday December 23, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a traffic stop with an ATV, which had no rear lights activated, on Larocque Street, West Nipissing.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.
Further investigation found the driver to be a prohibited driver and a search of the ATV located open liquor.
As a result, Marc-Denis ST. MARTIN, 53 years-of-age, from Field, was charged with:
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Drive motor vehicle – no licence
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 5, 2026, in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 45-days.
